A Brief Overview
Reporting to the President of Hunt Capital Management, the Senior Vice President Underwriting will lead the financial analysis and underwriting of real estate capital structure products, such as credit, preferred and equity instruments for commercial and residential real estate investments.
What you will do
* Leads the financial analysis and underwriting of real estate capital structure products, such as credit, preferred and equity instruments for commercial and residential real estate investments* Structures, negotiates, and closes investment transactions* Assesses markets and opportunities. Identify deal strengths and issues (and potential mitigants) and socialize with senior management.* Prepares comprehensive narrative credit memorandums with scenario analysis.* Assists in the financial analysis of various other real estate and corporate investment opportunities within Hunt Companies including a land banking platform for public and private homebuilder companies.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree (relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)* 7+ years of relevant experience* Substantial previous experience relating to commercial and residential real estate financial analysis and underwriting.* The ability to effectively communicate via oral and written presentations, e.g., investment committee presentations, counterparty negotiations and investor interaction.* Strong financial and accounting background. Familiar with applicable regulatory requirements.* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint as well as the ability to analyze financial statements and evaluate demographic data.
Compensation
We are committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The hiring range for this position is generally between $183,900 - $240,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the general Hiring Range for the role. Hiring at the top of the range is reserved for exceptionally qualified candidates. We consider internal and external factors as a part of every final offer. We also offer a generous total compensation and benefits package.
