Store Supervisors serve as lead workers in the day-to-day activities of the sales floor, donation door operations, and donated goods processing. They are accountable for the store operations while acting as manager on duty. Operations include the collection of donations, processing, pricing, stocking, performing register transactions, and handling donated goods overall to meet expected goals at every step of the process. This position requires a strong customer focus, operating with minimum supervision, and understanding business demands.Essential Job DutiesAbility to successfully perform all duties of a Retail AssociateTrain, coach, and provide feedback to help staff strengthen and develop skillsEnsure store staff follows policies and proceduresDemonstrate leadership and positive role modeling for retail staff.Report loss control concerns to the General Manager and/or Assistant General Manager in a timely mannerEffectively manage time and monitor retail staff time to ensure that work is completedAssume responsibility and accountability for the completion of job duties and meet production goalsPerform bank deposits and related cash-handling dutiesFill in for store staff as neededPerform opening and closing proceduresAssign tasks and supervise Retail Associate and Team Lead performance while acting as manager on dutyPerform other tasks as assignedREQUIREMENTS

Essential Job RequirementsEducation, Experience, and ExpectationsHigh school diploma or equivalent1 year of retail experience as a lead and/or quality control-related functionBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel; and point-of-sale softwareValid driver's license, safe driving record, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation.Requires CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification within six months of employmentRequires DSP training or ability to complete training within one year of employment for locations with service participantsRequires basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel; and the ability to utilize other software such as payroll and point of saleMaintains confidentiality of information related to LLGI operations, financial matters, and personnel mattersInteracts with people with disabilities in a manner that enhances their dignity, privacy, and confidentialityDemonstrates sensitivity and the ability to communicate with a diverse population, and promotes diversity and inclusion throughout the organizationConveys information clearly through verbal communicationWorks independently while fostering a strong team atmosphereRequires a high level of professionalism, integrity, business conduct, and ethical behavior.Understands and follows LLGI policies and proceduresRequires the ability to be consistently at work and on time on scheduled work days.Embraces the mission, vision, and values of LLGIPhysical RequirementsLift or move up to fifty (50) pounds of clothing and housewares safely on and off retail shelving fixtures up to ten (10) feet high, clothing racks four (4) feet high, and z-racks six (6) feet highPush and pull z-racks holding up to one hundred (100) pieces of clothing and weighing a minimum of 150 poundsThe ability to bend and reach into gaylords five (5) feet high to remove clothing and housewaresManual dexterity to fasten and unfasten buttons; snaps and zippers; operate cash registers and tagging gunsStand for long periods throughout the dayThe ability to perform a combination of tasks for extended periods such as stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting, reaching, carrying, pushing or pulling objects, to sorting and hanging clothing, and placing housewares on shelves and racksDemonstrate visual acuity to evaluate donated items for qualityThe ability to identify smells to evaluate donations for undesirable odors such as mold, must, dust, bodily fluids and/or urineEnvironmental ConditionsWork in a light industrial/warehouse environment with exposure to heat and coldSubject to exposure to allergens including dirt, dust, mold, metals, rubber, plastics, latex, and pet hairRequires occasional travel to other stores and job sitesTools and Equipment
