Job Title: Senior Income Tax Preparer
Job Description:
Jefferson Wells has the immediate need for an experienced Income Tax Preparer proficient in both federal and state income tax regulations, with expertise in utilizing CorpTax and/or OneSource software. Provision experience would be highly advantageous. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience specifically with C-corp returns.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for C-corporations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.Utilize CorpTax and/or OneSource software to efficiently manage tax data and filings.Demonstrate proficiency in provision work, with the ability to handle complex tax provisions.Handle tax matters related to publicly traded companies, large multinational corporations, and large consolidated returns.Independently manage workload and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines effectively.Adapt to a dynamic and ever-changing work environment, demonstrating flexibility and agility in approach.Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure smooth tax preparation processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.CPA certification preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in income tax preparation, with a focus on C-corporations.Proficiency in using CorpTax and/or OneSource software for tax preparation.Strong understanding of federal and state income tax regulations.Experience with tax provisions is highly desirable.Familiarity with publicly traded companies, multinational corporations, and large consolidated returns.Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and take initiative, with a self-starter mindset.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.Employment Type:
This position is open for both consultants and permanent employees, offering flexibility based on the candidate's preference and suitability.
Rate: $55+/hr W2 or equivalent salary minimum (Open to negotiation depending on experience)
Location: Primarily remote however it is preferred to have individuals who are open to hybrid (mainly in the Midwest Region)
