A healthcare organization in New York is actively seeking an experienced professional to join their team in Westchester County as an IT Category Manager. In this role, the IT Category Manager will be responsible for the contracting and vendor management from the item to the relationship level.
This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite at least 2 days a week.
Responsibilities:The IT Category Manager will:Analyze business needs and ensure that functional and technical requirements are documentedDevelop communication strategy and establish communication planPerform necessary investigations, analyses, and evaluations to determine feasibility.Prepare routine department status reportsProvide regular department status information to team members, including attending required meetings and following-up on action itemsEnsure adherence to protocols, procedures, and project plansEstablish departmental goals and measurements of successEnsures each project deliverable has clear completion criteria and acceptance planMaintain all relevant documentation and communicationsPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:
BS Science or Business Administration DegreeMinimum of three (3) years of Contract Management experience with a focus on IT spend.Experience in IT spend categoriesSupply Chain ManagementERP, Contract Management Software, Inventory SystemsKnowledge associated with the IT field of Strategic Sourcing, Project Management, systems, and procedures.Experience in the creation of RFP/RFI documents, driving the solicitation process, with appropriate documentation of processes and decisionsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organizedDesired Skills:Master's Degree in Business Administration
