The
Senior Director, Finance Operations - Shared Services
serves as the Finance Lead for shared services and is an integral member of the operational leadership team collaborating closely with leadership across MSK to ensure alignment with our vision, mission, values. This role provides expert financial leadership and guidance, ensuring financial objectives are aligned with organizational goals. As a strategic partner, the Senior Director drives financial excellence, promotes sound decision-making, and directs complex financial operations to achieve optimal financial performance and strategic growth initiatives.Role overview:Financial Operations LeadershipCultivates strong relationships with senior executives, establishing credibility as a trusted advisor and challenging thought-partner.Formulates comprehensive financial plans aligned with organizational goals and long-term strategies.Provides expert guidance in interpreting and analyzing financial data, translating complex information into actionable insights.Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the healthcare industry's statutory, regulatory, and administrative landscape, ensuring compliance.Leads multiple major, complex projects and relationships spanning local and regional scopes.Collaborates with Executive Leadership to develop and maintain accurate long-range financial forecasts and quarterly re-forecasts.Financial ManagementEnsures reliable and robust flow of financial data to allow leaders to effectively manage financial performance.Ensures compliance with MSK Finance and Accounting policies and procedures.Staff Development & EducationProvides leadership and guidance to financial operations staff, overseeing development, performance management, and hiring processes.Promotes collaboration within and across the organization.Provides training to ensure consistent finance technical competencies and skills.Supports a collaborative culture resulting in effective teamwork within and outside financial operations.Key Qualifications:10+ years of experience in healthcare financial operations or relevant industries.Successful management and implementation of initiatives in complex healthcare shared services, corporate environment.Understanding of healthcare operations.Core Skills:Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams through change, and fostering a collaborative and engaging work environment.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to achieve strategic objectives.Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks.Deep knowledge of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.Additional Information:Hybrid; onsite 3-4 days per week at various MSK sites in NYC.Reporting to the VP, Finance, Financial Operations & Optimization.Pay Range:
