Summary
As a Purchasing Manager, you will lead a purchasing team to ensure timely, quality, cost-effective procurement. You'll ensure performance and results within the team, develop efficient workflows, and lead through influence. You will develop commodity strategies aligned with company goals & deliver on structural improvement objectives.
ResponsibilitiesManaging the performance of the purchasing team, providing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.Developing and implementing efficient workflows and purchasing strategies to optimize purchasing processes, quality and reduce costsMaintaining supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and managing performance expectations while ensuring timely delivery and quality.Managing vendor relationships to ensure quality and reliability of goods and services.Developing and implementing cost-saving and structural improvement initiativesSupport ERP implementation for Celera Motion and NovantaRequirements:
Demonstrate extensive expertise in purchasing or procurement, while showcasing a track record of successful outcomesBe able to lead a team effectively and provide coaching, guidance and support to team membersHave excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, purchasing software, Oracle or other ERP systemsHave excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills with internal stakeholders and external suppliersAbility to set and manage goals, allocate resources, and make high quality, timely decisions.Travel Requirements

Lifting up to 50 pounds, Standing long periods of time
