Renewables Attorney

A law firm in Nashville, TN, is seeking a highly experienced Renewables Attorney to join their team. This attorney will provide expert legal counsel on a variety of renewable energy projects, with a primary focus on facilities operations and power purchase agreements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with renewable energy technologies, including wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cells, as well as a strong understanding of smart grid technology, energy storage, and energy efficiency. The role requires exceptional client service skills, interpersonal collaboration, and effective communication. Candidates must hold a JD degree, be an active member in good standing of the Bar, and have a portable book of business.Key Responsibilities:Provide legal expertise on renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell facilities.Draft, negotiate, and manage power purchase agreements, facility operation agreements, and other relevant contracts.Offer strategic legal guidance on regulatory compliance, facilities operations, and industry best practices.Advise clients on smart grid technology, energy storage solutions, and energy efficiency strategies.Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on emerging trends and technologies in the renewable energy sector.Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to address legal issues and ensure successful project outcomes.Manage and resolve legal disputes and challenges associated with renewable energy projects.Develop and maintain a portable book of business, demonstrating a strong client base in the renewable energy industry.Requirements:JD degree from an accredited law school.Active member in good standing of the Bar.Minimum of 10 years of experience in renewable energy law.Proven track record of a portable book of business.Extensive knowledge of wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell technologies.Familiarity with smart grid technology, energy storage systems, and energy efficiency practices.Skills:Expertise in legal matters related to renewable energy projects.Strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and industry stakeholders.High level of client service and dedication to client satisfaction.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with smart grid technology and energy storage solutions.Knowledge of demand-side management practices and technologies.Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters and provide strategic advice.
