We are seeking a

High Parameter Flow Core Technologist

(Research Technologist)

for agreat opportunity to enhance your research career working in a renowned cancer immunology research environment at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins. Working under the supervision of an outstanding research team in a flow cytometry lab, this position will offer training on the use of state-of-the-art flow cytometry technology and development of research skills in cancer immunology. Will help expand the range of services and interaction offered to researchers, which will include performing flow cytometry acquisition on animal, human fluids and/or tissue or cultured cell lines and evolve into executing and troubleshooting both analytical and sorting experiments.

Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesDaily operation of state-of-the-art multi-dimensional cell sorters, including start-up, quality control and monitoring of performance.Basic instrument maintenance.Scheduling approval and billing of core usages.Data archival and retrieval.Inventorying and ordering reagents.General lab maintenance and safety compliance.Additional responsibilities may be incorporated as expertise is acquired.

Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field.

Preferred QualificationsPrior experience with DiVa software.Some related post-undergraduate work experience.
