Payroll Manager

to lead its department. A big part of the job will be to supervise a payroll team and liaise with other professionals. An ideal candidate is analytical and methodical, with experience in payroll administration and deep knowledge of payroll regulations. The client values integrity, team spirit, and ownership of tasks. Payroll Manager responsibilities are:

Run the payroll department and supervise a team of payroll specialists and oversee the weekly and biweekly payroll processing.Post and review payroll-related journal entries in the general ledger.Ensure payroll procedures are compliant, efficient, and current.Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.Develop systems to process payroll account transactions (e.g. salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes, and third-party payments).Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems.Supervise payroll activities.Adhere to the labor/company regulations.Handle any payroll issues effectively and quickly.

Payroll Manager requirements:

Experience using UKG software is required.Background in implementing payroll strategies, policies, and procedures.Multi-state payroll processing for a large organization, including various taxing authorities.Familiarity with MS Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook is preferred.BA/BSc degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
