Overview

The Business Development Representative (BDR) role will focus on prospecting specific personas (i.e. titles) within the Global biotech and pharmaceutical industry . In this role you will work closely as part of our Sales Team to prospect a list of titles which will be provided to you and hand-off to our Client Engagement Specialists. You will maintain a thorough understanding of Certara's Evidence and Access service offeringsOur Certara's Evidence and Access team provides a suite of solutions to clients pursuing optimal market access, data analytics and modeling, product positioning, pricing optimization, and post-approval commercial expansion via real world evidence and data. These market access solutions enable pre-, peri, and post-approval drug and medical device solutions, improving their product positioning, informing on expanded indications to improve patient health, and maximizing returns.Powered by analytics and modeling across the entire life cycle, Certara's Evidence & Access experts in commercial, HEOR, real world evidence/data [RWE/RWD] and access subject matter experts help clients assess and clearly demonstrate value, support therapeutic indications, and secure market access. We combine unmatched technical capabilities and advanced analytic methods with our deep relationships in the payer and health technology assessment (HTA) community to inform key decisions and maximize a healthcare product's impactIn this role, you will be proficient and knowledgeable and able to represent the entire range of Evidence & Access services and solutions to biopharma, biotech, and medical devices & diagnostics clients of all sizes; and as such, should have previous experience in selling these types of services, have industry knowledge including competitive landscape, customer pain points and needs and be able to properly position the solution and qualify-in/qualify-out campaign responders.This is a high-energy position as goals are a minimum 100 prospecting activities per day. This role requires an individual who is extremely positive, motivated, enthusiastic, results-driven, pays great attention to detail, is coachable and wants a career in drug development service sales. As a BDR for Certara it will be critical for you to conduct business dealings with prospects in a way that creates a superior customer/prospect experience that will set the stage for a future sale of the Certara solutions.The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong sales aptitude, a willingness to perform sales campaigns, and the flexibility to work an alternative schedule to meet the needs of our customers.Responsibilities

Meet/exceed Sales Assigned and Sales Qualified Lead goals on a weekly and monthly basisMeet/exceed Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics on daily/weekly prospecting activities (100 blended activities daily 50 calls / 50 emails)Document all activities (phone and email outreach)Qualify prospects to the correct agreed upon criteria with the sales organizationHost Hand-off calls with prospects and the client engagement teamDevelop and maintain superior relationships with prospects and customersBuild a strong pipeline to support EVAs bookings targetsQualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or within a science related discipline1-2 years as a lead generation representative, within the pharmaceutical industry with specific knowledge of the health economics, biostatistics, epidemiology and access spaceAttention to detail in drafting relevant and accurate emails and for capturing all prospect interaction notes into SalesforceExperienced in the MS Office suite (Excel/Word/PPT)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and set prioritiesAbility to work in a high energy team environmentMust be capable of identifying personas via LinkedIn or Global Data and pairing the optimal service offering to their needs (i.e. knowledge of the disease areas and/or service offer) using content developed by the EVA teamSelf-motivated professional with ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment
