We are seeking an experienced Vice President to lead our Total Rewards center of expertise.Reporting to the SVP and CHRO of BAE Systems, Inc., the Vice President, Total Rewards will be responsible for directing the strategy and implementation of Inc. benefit and compensation programs. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the business to develop proactive and innovative approaches to ensure our total rewards are competitive, drive business results, and align with our culture in order to support the attraction, motivation and retention of our employees. You will leverage your knowledge of market conditions and the competitive talent landscape to design tailored strategies for rewards concerning key talent segments.You will be responsible for cost management, communications and compliance of all plans, in addition to leading all HR aspects of M&A (from due diligence, risk assessment and integration plans and costs) in collaboration with the business. You will also support the CHRO to drive continuous improvement within the HR function, drawing on external and internal best practices and leading-edge HR thinking on benefits, compensation and human resources systems initiatives.Additionally, the Vice President, Total Rewards leads the HR Analytics team responsible for providing analytics leadership and business intelligence support to the business through the use of technology. The team develops and executes data strategies and partner with the business to drive results.Additional responsibilities include:+ Effectively leading a strong team of functional experts in benefits, compensation, compliance, M&A and analytics;+ Partner with the leadership team to ensure that all rewards programs align with the strategic goals of the company and support driving a high-performance culture by rewarding and attracting top talent. This includes identifying and evaluating external market changes and internal trends to inform strategic designs;+ Collaborate with the business sectors and other stakeholders to design and execute a competitive, end-to-end Total Rewards strategy and programs that aligns with Company's overall talent agenda;+ Partner with plc parent to design and deliver long-term compensation programs;+ Direct the planning, design, implementation, maintenance, and administration of all rewards programs to maintain organizational objectives and a competitive position in the marketplace. Monitor and recommend changes as needed;+ Review, evaluate, and execute the executive compensation programs (base, bonus, and equity) by collaborating with CEO, CHRO, plc and with outside executive compensation consultants to ensure they are performance driven, market competitive, appropriately leveraged, legally compliant, accurately administered and effectively communicated;+ Effectively benchmark employee benefit and compensation practices/offerings, legislation and targeted industries to remain competitive and compliant in all geographies we operate. Communicate these trends and other relevant data on a timely basis to executive team and when appropriate, recommend course of action to effectively manage impacted/assigned plans;+ Work closely with partners in Finance to optimize value, reduce risk, evaluate options, and make recommendations to executive management;+ Annually review health and welfare strategy with business sectors, evaluate internal and external trends in the market, and evaluate options to meet competitive needs. Build stakeholder support for solutions and garner agreement across the sectors and from senior leadership;+ Collaborate with global counterparts and provide c-suite and Board materials;+ Lead HR direct and indirect resources and deliverables for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and support reorganizations from due diligence, business case creation, integration plan development, communications and implementation;+ Develop, plan and manage complex projects related to the enterprise-wide implementation of new or updated federal, state or local paid leave (and other associated benefits) regulations and Sector specific plan/policy changes.**Required Education, Experience, & Skills****QUALIFICATIONS:** Qualified candidates must have the following:+ Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree;+ At least 15 years of leadership experience in designing, implementing and providing direction to compensation, benefits and rewards functions;+ 5 years in a strategic leadership position with a proven history of successful interaction and influence with all levels of stakeholders, including the Compensation Committee, the Board of Directors, CEO, sector Presidents, CFO and other senior executives;+ 5 years experience managing complex retirement (401k, pension, deferred compensation), health and welfare, and paid leave benefits strategy development, implementation, communications, operations and compliance in a multi-segment business;+ Experience preparing and presenting required summaries for the board and the compensation and remuneration committees;+ Comprehensive knowledge of incentive and recognition-based compensation, benefits and other rewards programs;+ Ability to balance competing priorities from multiple stakeholders and create collaborative strategies that achieve business goals in a cost-effective manner;+ Thrives in changing environments and can think outside traditional rewards structures and policies to create plans that best suit the needs of the organization and retain, incentivize, and reward employees;+ Involvement in M&A integration and divestitures;+ Experience managing in a regulated environment with a complex benefits structure;+ Experience leading, managing, and mentoring high performing HR/rewards teams;+ Effective leadership skills not only leading a team of professionals but also in handling organizational complexities to include working collaboratively across organizational boundaries.**CHARACTERISTICS:** The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:+ Ability to lead a strong team of functional experts;+ Business acumen: ability to assess business requirements and constraints, prioritize opportunities, and develop sound strategies;+ Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities;+ Must be viewed as a very credible and highly strategic thought leader by senior leadership;+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and navigate the detail but understand which messages to communicate at the executive-level;+ Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to think conceptually and identify innovative solutions;+ Experience in seeking business input to inform rewards strategy, interpret external market changes in the rewards environment, regulatory environment and competitive business market;+ Ability to drive change through influence and partnership in a federated model business environment, with multiple business sectors with at times differing needs, and to negotiate with and influence stakeholders.**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**+ A Master s degree in Human Resources or Business is preferred.**Vice President, Total Rewards****103711BR**EEO Career Site Equal Opportunity Employer.
