What We'll Bring:
We are looking for a Managing Counsel to provide federal and state anti-discrimination (e.g., the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Fair Housing Act), UDAP and UDAAP legal support for the Data and Analytics team.
The role will provide ongoing legal support to support the Data and Analytics team including:
• Interpreting applicable bills, laws and regulations
• Identifying, anticipating and protecting the company against related risk exposure
• Supervising and directing applicable testing and monitoring
• Supporting responses to federal and state agencies, complaints and litigation, as needed
• Drafting and negotiating relevant commercial agreements

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

What You'll Bring:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree required and 7+ years of relevant experience,
- 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney (in-house or law firm) focused on federal and state anti-discrimination (e.g., the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Fair Housing Act), and UDAP/UDAAP legal support.
- Ability to influence internal/external business and regulatory issues that have an impact on the business.
- A team player ready to work closely in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with other attorneys, compliance professionals, business clients and senior leaders.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills (root cause analysis, problem solving, issue spotting, and decision making).
- Strong work ethic with the demonstrated ability to manage and handle a significant and diverse work flow in an effective and timely manner.
- Ability to work independently, yet exhibit sound judgment in seeking guidance and direction from senior attorneys and escalating issues.
- Ability to read, interpret and advise business partners on complex matters, including laws, contracts, business documents, system documents, company policies, and procedures.
- Executive level written and oral communication skills and advocacy experience.
We'd Love to See:
- Knowledge and understanding of the following areas of law: FCRA, GLBA, privacy, technology, intellectual property, and partnering arrangements.
- Experience working at an information services company, advising clients regarding data use in a regulated environment.

- Responsible for keeping abreast of current relevant legislative and regulatory developments that may have an impact upon operations.
- Assists other attorneys on various matters including those which present potential for litigation.
- Ability to interpret/manage complex matters including conducting research and potentially engagement of outside counsel.
- Maintain complete confidentiality of company-related business.
- Keep immediate supervisor informed of pertinent developments within areas of assigned responsibilities.
- Provide formal and informal training for internal clients.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- This position may require occasional travel.
