ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

The Senior Manager Business Finance leads the Financial Planning and Analysis function for the Geography. He She provides key financial information, performance indicators as well as forward-looking/predictive business analysis to support the geography's short term operational goals and long-term's strategy and growth. He/She promotes financial excellence in serving the business by proactively engaging with Business Finance, Corporate Control and Corporate Finance colleagues, seeking and providing guidance / advice on relevant matters.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead, manage and control the period financial results (process, timelines, content)
  • Preparation of the business review presentation and lead results discussion with GEO President and CFO
  • Lead monthly reviews with P&L (BU) and/or cost budget owners
  • Lead monthly/quarterly forecast (at required level of granularity) and budgeting process including the reviews with relevant business owners and finance stakeholders
  • Actively participating in the preparation of the 3 Year Business Plan for the GEO;
  • Plays an active role in the revenue and/or expense management activities by:
    • Signing-off the monthly revenue and expenses
    • Supporting the monthly/quarterly standard financial process related to revenue recognition and expenses, in conjunction with Corporate Accounting
  • Confirm and validate the data integrity of the financial results by:
    • Ensuring alignment between Statutory reporting and Management reporting results;
    • Confirming IFRS and accounting policies compliance;
    • Supporting the Audit activity;
    • Playing an active role in the Balance Sheet control activity;
    • Control of the depreciation bookings as established by Corp. Accounting
  • Support the leadership team in the absence of GEO CFO
  • Is actively involved in the financial control activities including costs analysis ensuring alignment with capitalization best practices, with tax compliance activities, with corporate practices and standards.
  • Provides support on key corporate and strategic programs
  • Defines, project-manages and delivers improvement plans or special projects to increase the overall quality of the business finance function.

Qualifications

ABOUT YOUR SKILLS

  • 10+ years of combined finance, FP&A experience, preferably within a large international company with a matrix business structure.
  • Interacting at senior management level & ability to influence decision making at the GEO level.
  • Experience in delegation and in particular exercising good judgement between personal involvement and delegation.
  • Ability to challenge status quo and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Strong finance and accounting knowledge and experience.
  • 7+ Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis.
  • 5+ years working experience as a business partner.
  • Proficient knowledge of Financial Systems (oracle/Hyperion).
  • Strong Competence in Excel and PowerPoint are mandatory.
  • Strong presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of International Accounting standards (IFRS and US GAAP).
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in finance or business Management.
  • MBA qualification is strongly desired.
  • Proficiency in spoken Spanish/Portuguese strongly desirable.
  • Six Sigma Green/Black belt certification desired
