001rr About This Role:The

Physician Assistant (PA) Program , within the College of Healthand Human Sciences, is currently seeking a

Clinical Director

to jointheir team. This position is responsible for planning the clinical year,including the scheduling of all clinical rotations, lectures, OSCEs,laboratory exercises, and case study/critical thinking sessions. Theposition also assists in the student training of BLS/ACLS/PALScertification sessions and clinical skills testing sessions.Additionally, the Clinical Director will participate in theorganization, administration, planning, and evaluation of the PAProgram. The Clinical Director will serve as the supervisor of theclinical instructional faculty and the clinical coordinator. Thisposition reports to the PA Program Director.Specific duties include, but are not limited to:Obtain, secure, and maintain clinical affiliations{=html} - Complete initial and ongoing clinical preceptor, clinical site,clinical courses, and program evaluations, providing detailedanalysis and reports for ongoing clinical phase and programevaluation, assessment, and improvement- Serve as liaison between clinical facilities/preceptors and PAprogram- Oversee implementation of curricular design and coordinate theschedule of the clinical phase of curriculum to optimize thedelivery of instructional content to students- Maintain the current curricular map showing the vertical andhorizontal sequence of the curriculum in the clinical phase- Ensure clinical instructional faculty (preceptors) are appropriatelyoriented to program mission and goals, program policies, specificteaching responsibilities, program instructional resources, andspecific learning objectives for which they are responsible- Maintain student files of academic performance during the clinicalyear, such as major exams per rotation, correspondence regardingclinical rotation progress, or any other clinically related activity- Oversee updates and revisions for clinical and preceptor handbooks{=html} - Participate in clinical skills training, lab sessions, andsimulations as assigned- Provide student instruction, evaluate student performance, andensure the availability of remedial instruction in assigned coursesin the PA program- Participate in clinical assignments, including proctoring physicalexam checkoffs, case studies, and problem-oriented physicals- Evaluate clinical curriculum against national standards and PApractice on an annual basis in preparation for Faculty Retreat- Oversee policies and procedures for evaluation of studentperformance, academic counseling, and remediation in the clinicalphase- Work with the didactic team to assess the effectiveness of thecurriculum in preparing students for clinical rotations andentry-level practice- Travel as needed to recruit and maintain clinical sites andpreceptor base- Participate in the screening, interviewing, and selection ofapplicants for the PA Program- Assist with preparation for ARC-PA accreditation and reaccreditationsite visits, specifically collecting and analyzing data related tothe clinical phase and SSR.This
