A law firm in Encino, CA, is seeking a Trust and Estate Planning Attorney with 2-3 years of experience to join their Trust and Estate Planning Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record, excellent writing skills, and a proven ability to handle a challenging workload in a fast-paced environment. The role involves assisting with the administration of trusts and estates, advising on estate, gift, and property tax issues, and managing client relationships.Duties:Assist with the administration of trusts and decedent's estates, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and proper handling of assets.Advise clients on estate, gift, and property tax issues, including strategies for minimizing tax liabilities.Draft and review estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced healthcare directives.Provide guidance on asset protection and wealth transfer strategies.Manage and coordinate complex estate and trust matters, including probate proceedings.Work closely with clients to address their estate planning needs and concerns, providing tailored solutions and advice.Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals, such as accountants and financial advisors, to develop comprehensive estate plans.Stay updated on changes in estate and trust laws and regulations, incorporating relevant updates into practice.Participate in business development activities and contribute to the firm's growth in the Trust and Estate Planning Practice Group.Requirements:2-3 years of experience in trust and estate planning or related practice areas.Strong academic record and excellent writing skills.Proven ability to handle significant responsibility and manage a challenging workload.Solid interpersonal skills and a client-focused approach.In good standing with the California State Bar.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admitted to practice law in the State of California and in good standing with the California State Bar.Skills:Exceptional research, analytical, and writing skills.Strong understanding of estate, gift, and property tax laws and regulations.Ability to draft and review complex legal documents related to estate planning and administration.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.Proven ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to accept significant responsibility and demonstrate leadership within the practice group.
