Open Until FilledPosition Information:This position leads the team responsible for many of UC Riverside's signature events, overseeing event management and production of events including but not limited to Commencement ceremonies, galas, regional alumni gatherings, dignitary visits, high-profile lectures, concerts, and select events sponsored by the Office of the Chancellor. Serves as the campus resource for developing and maintaining campus protocols for all aspects of events. The director oversees the day-to-day work of the University Events team and works in close collaboration with partners throughout the university to deliver high-quality experiences that grow affinity, align with the UCR brand, and expand support and engagement. Please note: Campus presence is required with hybrid accommodations.The full salary range for the Director of University Events is $90,400 - $169,300 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $90,400 - $110,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.Requirements:Educational RequirementsBachelors' degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. RequiredExperience Requirements8 - 13 years of related experience. RequiredPrevious supervisory/managerial experience. (30%)Provides comprehensive direction and oversight for all aspects of event management including personnel and financial administration.
