We believe that our greatest strength draws on the different backgrounds, cultures, perspectives and experiences of our employees.Job SummaryWestat is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to join its fast-paced growing corporate contracts unit to oversee a diverse portfolio of Westat’s federally funded contracts. This position will support the full life cycle of contract management activities. This position is a hybrid work arrangement (1-2 days on-site Rockville, MD) and remote eligible.Job ResponsibilitiesTeam Lead with management and oversight of Clinical Research contracts.Review and negotiate a variety of agreements, including but not limited to NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Contracts, and all partner agreements.Provide contractual and business guidance to Westat’s contract and research staff.Collaborate with internal research and corporate departments.Perform risk-assessments and periodic contract compliance reviews in accordance with internal and external regulatory requirements.Perform pre-award reviews of RFPs and contractual documents to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and solicitation requirements.Basic QualificationsTypically requires a Master's degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in Federal Government contracting and contract management or equivalent related work experience including 5 years of leading or managing federally funded services contracts.Demonstrated experience working with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other regulatory requirements.Experience reviewing and negotiating various types of agreements.Knowledge of standard government contract compliance reviews and audits.Familiarity working with enterprise accounting and reporting software.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with clinical research projects on behalf of a government contractor.Experience using GSA schedules (MAS-PSC) and Best-In-Class contracting vehicles.Experience with Deltek products including Costpoint, Contracts and Purchasing Modules.Familiar with HIPAA and human subjects requirements.Other Required QualificationsDemonstrated communication skillsCollaboration with teams, managers, and/or clientsDetail orientedWestat offers a well-rounded and comprehensive benefits program focused on wellness and work/life balance. The anticipated salary range for this role is $110.9-140k and will be commensurate with experience.
