Workers Compensation Defense Lawyer

A law firm is seeking a Workers' Compensation Defense Lawyer to join its team in Santa Ana, CA. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in workers' compensation defense and be adept at handling all aspects of litigation, from intake through settlement or trial. This position offers a competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits, and a car allowance.Duties and Responsibilities:Handle all phases of workers' compensation defense litigation, including case intake, discovery, settlement negotiations, and trial.Represent clients in administrative hearings, depositions, and trials.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on workers' compensation laws and regulations.Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.Develop and implement case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.Collaborate with experts, clients, and team members to build strong defense cases.Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws and industry trends.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations.Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Ability to develop and execute effective case strategies.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proven ability to manage caseloads efficiently and effectively.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience handling cases from intake through settlement or trial in a workers' compensation defense setting.
