About the Role
As a Staff Software Engineer at Constellation, your role will be pivotal in propelling our next-gen SDKs, Mobile Applications, and AI-fueled frameworks that will revolutionize both associate and consumer experiences. Your collaborative spirit will be put to the test as you lead a group of engineers and team up with data science, product, engineering, store operations, and legal departments. What we are looking for:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer who will function as a tech lead for our Android, iOS, C++, and React Native mobile engineering teams. As a part of the dynamic Constellation team at Walmart Global Tech, you'll get the chance to solve some of the most challenging inventory issues in retail through Artificial Intelligence, mobile devices, embedded systems, and IoT devices.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of iOS, Android C++, and React Native mobile engineers
Design, develop, test, and maintain large-scale mobile applications
Understand and implement best practices for camera hardware and software
Develop SDKs that will be integrated into production level applications
Work with augmented reality, computer vision models, and deep learning technologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
Requirements: Minimum of 8 years experience in building large scale mobile applications
Proven experience leading and managing teams of engineers
Expertise in SDK development
Deep understanding and knowledge of all mobile platforms
Extensive experience with camera hardware and software
Familiarity with augmented reality, computer vision models, and deep learning technologies
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 8+ years or Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of experience
Experience with Objective C, Swift, UIKit, Cocoa Pods, SPM, Gradle, Jenkins, Java, C++, Jetpack, Dart, Flutter, Compose, Python
Experience with one or more of the following frameworks/libraries: Camera X, Camera 2 API, TensorFlow Lite, OpenCV, FFMpeg, AVFoundation, ARKit, Vision, MLKit
Experience with two or more of the following frameworks/libraries: PyTorch, OpenCV, Keras, TensorFlow (lite), Cuda, SciPy, NumPy, BoofCV
Experience with low powered devices such as development boards: raspberry pi, Arduino, Coral, Jetson, etc. or mobile phones.
Experience with pushing mobile hardware to the limits.
Experience working in small teams/incubators
