Job DescriptionPurpose:
This position is responsible for procuring materials as required to satisfy the production needs of the business. Also responsible for continuous improvement in the procurement area as relates to processes and material availability.Primary Responsibilities (Include But Are Not Limited To)Acquire materials and supplies that are critical for the success of our business operationsManage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contractsReview supplies to ensure quality, monitor stock levels and keep information accessible by sorting and filing documentsPrepare and submit detailed reports relating to MRP, back orders and schedulesVerify purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying unclear itemsMonitor available inventory levels by verifying stock; scheduling deliveries with vendorsPrepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and priceMonitor order status and expediting as requiredUpdate job knowledge by participating in educational opportunitiesAccomplish purchasing and organization mission by completing related tasks as neededPerform other related duties as required to meet customer and production requirementsQualifications and Skills Required:4-year degree in Supply Chain or equivalent requiredProficient in MRP/ERP SAP would be a plusProven experience as a purchasing agent or relevant roleMarket research, data analysis and understanding of purchasing best practicesExcellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skillsA strong analytical mindset
