Target hiring pay range: $23.25 - $29.06 per hour

Position Status – Full Time non-exempt (Hourly)

Reports To: VP Business Deposits and Treasury Management

Purpose : The primary purpose of this position is to assist Atlanta Postal Credit Union to live out our Mission, “To help our members achieve financial success by providing exceptional products and service.”

The Business Relationship Specialist II proactively engages in providing quality-driven member services to existing and potential business members of the Credit Union. This includes, but is not limited to, engaging current and potential members in dialogue for recommendation and set up of complex treasury and payment services offerings. Depending on their assignment, the Business Relationship Specialist II from time to time may perform all or a portion of the tasks listed herein but all incumbents are expected to be proficient in each task over time.

Serves as a SME for the most complex business services product offerings, including but not limited to, treasury management and payment services, and business loans.Works collaborative across departmental functional and support units to ensure the timely implementation, set up and delivery, and servicing of all business payment services.Responsible for the timely submission of business loan requests.Builds trust and rapport with potential business clients; gains full understanding of their business, business operating cycle, processes, financial well-being, revenue streams, receivables status, and strategic objectives.Offers appropriate products and services and guidance aimed at enabling prospective business members to achieve their financial goals, accelerate receivables, improve internal payment, and cash management practices, secure financing for growth or expansion, and manage business deposits.Provides services to business members through productive dialogue and engagement with the members.Processes a variety of business member transactions including, but not limited to, onboarding, transactions, maintenance requests, disputes, and escalations from the branch network and other service areas of the credit union.Receives inbound calls in a call center environment and provides business member services in accordance with all guidance, processes, and procedures of the call center.Responds to all service and sales inquiries that are received through various channels (email, on-line inquiries, in-bound calls, branch referrals).Takes initiative for appropriate internal interactions for resolution of member issues and assumes ownership for follow-up and update to the business member regarding resolution details.Completes business member relationship-building assignments, such as follow up calls, pre-determined business member contact intervals, incentive announcements.As required, may communicate with business members to obtain updated acknowledgements, or provide insights related to changes that impact their business.Completes the opening of new business member accounts ensuring appropriate documentation is obtained and adherence to internal processes and procedures.Engages in needs-based dialogue with business members to fully understand the member’s financial needs.Recommends and positions credit union products and services that meet the business member’s needs.Based on business member needs, makes referrals to internal partners for product delivery of additional products and services.Engages in communication with the business member, or designated parties, to ensure proper training, set up and understanding of the features and benefits of digital banking channels.Maintains up to date knowledge of all business banking products, services, and account opening procedures; Follows all practices that are in place to mitigate fraudulent activity and unnecessary risks.Maintains up to date product knowledge; has a full understanding of the features and benefits of the products and services offered by the credit union.Effectively uses written and oral communication skills in daily correspondence and completion of tasks, interactions with members, staff, vendors, and regulators.Complies with all aspects of BSA/AML and OFAC regulations as they relate to this position.Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED Education and/or Experience:

An associate’s degree in business management, Business Administration, or related field of study or 2 years of additional specific work experience in lieu of degree3 years consultative customer service work experience in banking, financial services, or a credit unionPrior cross-selling and recommending treasury management products and servicesPREFFERED Education and/or Experience:

A bachelor’s degree in business management, Business Administration, or related field of study2 years specific member facing work experience recommending, implementing, and administering treasury management and business lending products and servicesPrior experience completing transactions in Symitar, and Meridian Link

Physical Job Requirements:

Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines such as calculator, computer, printer, facsimile, telephone, copier, etc. Must be able to stand, bend and stoop as needed. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of 5 to 25 pounds.
