These products will incorporate most of the following technologies: SDVoE, Audio Video Bridge, 802.1AS, 802.1Qav, 802.1Qat, 802.1BA, Dante, AES67, PTP, LAG, Spanning tree, IGMP, MLD, Multicast, PIM, QoS.Job Responsibilities

For assigned projects, take overall responsibility for delivering the product to production; including requirements generation, hardware, firmware, documentation, regulatory testing and Agile release requirements, per Netgear policies. It is expected that projects should be managed with minimal supervision.Project management: Develop, publish and meet schedules, keep all stakeholders informed of product status at all times.Project Execution: Manage the suppliers' (ODM, chip vendor, SW suppliers, etc.) product development process, including code review and code optimization with ODM.Product Verification: Manage verification testing of product features and performance, including testing/verification issues with QA.Customer and standard Certification: Manage qualification of products with customers and standard bodies.Documentation: Provide input for manuals, help files, application notes and tech support web pages.Support: Resolve any 3rd level technical support escalations. Work with Sale Engineers to solve issues and provide solutions to customers.Track industry technology developments, supplier roadmaps, standards bodies and make product recommendations.Skills and Requirements

Masters degree in CS or EE with at least 15 years experience embedded Linux coding and product management.At least 12 years C/C++/Shell scripts/Html/Css/Java Script programming experience.In depth domain knowledge in Layer2 switching and Layer3 IP networking.Engineering background with significant hands-on / coding experience in product development.Experience with SDVoE, Dante, AES67, AVB, PTP based products.Experience with Broadcom, Marvell, Realtek chipset.Strong understanding of the development cycle and SQA processes of technology products, specifically test driven development, able to track and resolve issues.Effective organization, project management and coordination skills; ability to get the job done.Ability and willingness to take ownership of product; get the job done with minimal supervision.Teamwork: This position requires a close working relationship with the extended Netgear team, including engineering, operations, sales, customer support, marketing and program management.Good communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Mandarin is a plus.Experience working in a start-up environment. Self-starter that works well on a team. Proven ability to lead a multi-disciplined development team.Working knowledge of switch hardware/software.Ability to understand and debug/resolve hardware/software issues, strong attention to detail and follow-through on outstanding issues and corrective actions.Adaptive to ever-changing situations and answer the challenges.Working knowledge of test case management tools (JIRA).The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$195,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed in each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, professional background, business need and market demand.
