Overview:
We are currently seeking an
Microsoft Systems Engineer
to join our team. This is a full-time permanent role supporting our HQs in
Glen Burnie, MD . The position will work with the IT Director to streamline and secure our current infrastructure and work to formulate a plan to move systems to the cloud in the future.We are looking for an experienced candidate to bring the latest technologies into our environment to update and secure everything from network hardware to cloud hosting applications.Responsibilities:Responsible for the network infrastructure to include hardware, software and cloud technologiesDeploy Office/Microsoft 365 EnvironmentsDeploy Azure AD EnvironmentsDeploy advanced Microsoft 365 Services including Enterprise and MobilityArchitect Office/Microsoft 365 Service EnvironmentsMaintenance of on-premise and Azure Active Directory environments including Group PoliciesDeployment of Infrastructure improvements on Client environmentsMaintain SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams environmentsMaintain and enhance backup strategy using VEEAMMaintain and configure Firewall policiesBe able to manage internal SAN and NAS environmentManage network infrastructure to include switches, routers and access pointsAssist in maintaining and deploying other Client applications and environmentsLeading initiatives for researching and deploying new applicationsLeading IT Projects for ClientsCoordinating various IT Staff and OperationsProvide guidance and leadership as a Senior staff member of the teamAssist in managing Support Services and related deliverablesWorking with End-Users and Vendors to support applications and environmentsWorking with Client Stakeholders on strategy and visionMeeting regularly with Clients and attend Client meetings and engaging Executive ManagementSupporting Client initiatives remotely and on-premiseRoutine network maintenance in various Microsoft environmentsQualifications:3+ years of IT support experience1+ year of advanced Microsoft 365 experienceSolid experience in support management rolesExperience with Microsoft Azure Active DirectoryExperience with MS Azure, Defender, Microsoft 365, Entra, and Intune.Microsoft cloud certifications a plusHaving a worked in a highly motivated, fast-paced, critical support roleAn excellent reputation for support to end-users and leading teamsExcellent decision making and critical-thinking skillsExcellent organizational and communication skills are requiredAbility to meet deadlines with Projects and AssignmentsAbility to learn and support new technologies and train others
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors degree in computer science / MIS / business administration or a related discipline
Education / CertificationsBA in computer science or related field.
Certifications may be considered in lieu of college degree
