How you'll shape the future of the Corporate Finance Department:
* Direct the compilation and preparation of financial statements and related disclosures for public reporting purposes in compliance with GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.* Coordinate and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual preparation of internally prepared financial statements. Disseminate appropriate reporting, analytics and dashboards on a timely basis for use by management, the Board and applicable external regulatory agencies.* Perform accounting research and advice on technical accounting issues and support the accounting team in understanding of accounting research and any applicable updates to statutory or GAAP reporting that impacts the Company* Generate and continually improve reporting to management, Board, and regulatory authorities. Respond to management inquiries regarding financial information and performance measures, as needed.* Actively participate in the external audit process which includes ensuring audit schedules are prepared and reviewed on a timely basis and the completion of the audit in a timely manner. Ensure new accounting principles have been applied as applicable, conducts independent research prior and during audit.* Ensure compliance with the internal controls' requirements of various sections of the Sarbanes Oxley Act, including Section 404. This includes review and finalization of policies and procedures and internal control documentation including those prepared by financial reporting or financial operations staff. Ensure policies and procedures, on behalf of the finance team, are within prescribed corporate governance policies.* Manage and enforce company financial reporting policies and internal control policies, coordinate annual budgeting and monitoring of budget as well as budget reporting requirements prepared by the finance team.* Lead and develop financial reporting or other applicable staff.* Leverage ERP systems and other accounting systems by identifying ways to continuously improve the accounting area to meet the needs of a rapidly growing business. Recommend upgrades if deemed necessary to meet improved business needs.* Lead/participate in special projects as assigned.
You'll be someone who can bring:
* Undergraduate degree in Accounting. CPA certification required.* Minimum of 10 years of experience managing/leading SEC reporting processes.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, as well as proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software.* Keen attention to detail.* Thorough knowledge of GAAP and SEC regulations, controls, and accounting procedures.
