The Position
Halo is seeking a Facilities Infrastructure Engineer with semiconductor clean room experience. The hired candidate will be responsible for optimizing the facilities and infrastructure associated with the company's wafer processing operations, ensuring they are functional, efficient, and safe. Critical near-term deliverables for the Facilities Infrastructure Engineer include:•Identification and elimination of health and safety hazards associated with Halo's physical facilities, high voltage laser-based wafer slicing and processing equipment, and the consumables and hazardous materials used in their operation.•Design, installation, and maintenance of power, DI water, Clean Dry Air (CDA) storage and delivery systems, such that power, water and air are delivered where needed, as needed, across the entire Santa Clara facility.•Planning and support in the footprint planning and installation of equipment and equipment support systems, including exhaust, drainage, and connectivity to power, DI Water and CDA.•Evaluation and optimization of facility wide hazardous material handling, storage, delivery, disposal and status monitoring systems (Environmental Health and Safety).•Assurance that individual processing stations have continuous access to the power, DI water, and CDA required to achieve optimal performance levels.•Elimination of product quality issues resulting from variances and/or failures in infrastructure performance.•Development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs for all facilities and equipment.
The Facilities Infrastructure Engineer will manage and supervise Halo's internal facility maintenance staff, as well as external contractors, service representatives, and vendors.
General Responsibilities•Gathering and analyzing data, blueprints, and reports. •Determining facility and equipment specifications.•Analyzing project costs and preparing budgets.•Designing and overseeing the implementation of facility expansion, layout, various systems, and quality controls.•Evaluating operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies. •Developing processing plans and optimizing resource allocation.•Planning and coordinating infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities.•Coordinating and overseeing contractors performing maintenance activities.•Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.•Preparing reports and compliance documentation.•Be comfortable with working long hours when required to achieve deadlines.
Requirements
Requirements•Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or an equivalent technical field•3 - 5 years of applicable facilities experience working in a clean room environment•Experience with AutoCAD, SAP, and MS Office.•Knowledge of the building process and construction principles.•Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes.•Good verbal and written communication skills.•Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.•Project management skills.
