Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program Director

Application Deadline: October 31, 2024The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria seeks a child and adolescent psychiatrist with a strong interest in graduate medical education and a desire to assist in leading our effort to develop a new child and adolescent psychiatry (CAP) fellowship. This CAP Fellowship Director is a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.Our department has worked closely with our partner hospitals to prepare for the development of a new CAP training program. The broad array of resources, exceptional facilities, and collaborative commitment from the community provide an ideal opportunity for a motivated psychiatrist to lead and grow the program. The success of the general psychiatry program and the experience of the current faculty offer ample support to the incoming CAP Director as the new program evolves. Candidates should share our values for high-quality patient care, the education of fellows, residents, and medical students, and the promotion of scholarly activity. The ideal candidate will have meaningful administrative experience, excellent teaching and communication skills, and be eager to lead.
