Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Technical Services Project Management – Project Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in the Colorado Springs, CO area.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and overseeing the cross-agile Release Train and Cross-Functional Product Team efforts associated with the TO03 Problem Report Project (PR) Implementation and Deployment changes.

Essential Functions:

Support the planning and executing technical scope, schedule, and cost inputs for changes, ECPs, and other customer engineering estimate requests.

Support the development of TO03 Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) objective evidence and collecting IMS status accounting.

Support cross-spiral de-confliction, Cross-Functional Area coordination, and schedule/resource issue resolution.

Proven leadership abilities to manage, coordinate, and oversee cross-functional area efforts associated with the Sustainability and Development lifecycle management.

Basic Qualifications:

Applicants must have an active in-scope Secret security clearance at the time of application.

9 years' experience with a STEM Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or 7 years' experience with a STEM Master’s degree; or 13 years' of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Must possess Planning, Scheduling, Project Management, and EVMS skills.

Must have experience in Systems Engineering.

Must possess Software Development and Deployment experience.

Experience in developing and managing project teams and schedules.

Experience in the Development Lifecycle and knowledge of spiral development processes.

Must have experience with project planning, cost, schedule, and performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with development programs and deployment execution activities.

PMP certification is highly desired.

Salary Range:

$121,000 - $181,400

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers.
