The Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at CSU offers a high-quality research and learning environment.Position Summary
The Department seeks applications from Ph.D.-level scientists for research positions at the Research Scientist/Scholar level. The open positions may be temporary or special assignments.Required Job Qualifications
Research Scientist applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in an appropriate discipline. There are four levels of appointment:Level I:
Individuals generally within three years of receiving their Ph.D. with limited scientific research experience.Level II:
Analogous to the Assistant Professor title for regular faculty, generally includes individuals with more than 3 years of relevant professional experience beyond the Ph.D.Level III:
For individuals with significant years of experience beyond the Ph.D.Senior Research Scientist/Scholar:
For individuals with extremely significant and extraordinary accomplishments.*Ranking is done on an individual basis using factors such as publication record, past research funding, professional honors and awards, decisive discoveries, and management experience.Preferred Job Qualifications
