The Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) is seeking an experienced Architectural and/or Planning Project Manager with strong design, management, and analytic skills to join the Office of Planning. The Senior Project Manager will have responsibility for a wide variety of project types for various user agencies including the agencies within the State’s higher education system, the judiciary, public safety agencies, human services, environmental agencies, and state offices. Projects will vary and include feasibility studies, programming studies, utilization analyses, strategic master plans, building studies for new construction, renovations and repair projects, system-wide condition assessments, and long-term capital planning and program implementation.The Senior Project Manager will lead teams of planning and design consultants, DCAMM colleagues, user agency representatives, and other stakeholders to develop creative and strategic solutions to capital facility needs. The work involves gathering, analyzing, and presenting data, developing and evaluating options, and building consensus to inform capital investment decisions.Preferred Qualifications

10+ years of increasing and broad responsibility in planning, project management, and portfolio management, including exposure to public construction, preferably within the Commonwealth.Experience in managing multiple, complex projects involving feasibility, budgeting, programming, report preparation, and project monitoring.Ability to exercise a high degree of independent initiative in overseeing assigned projects, supervising consultants, motivating others, and solving daily conflicts and problems that occur.Thorough knowledge of and experience in programming, planning, design, and construction of buildings, staff management, and client coordination.
