At GoTu, we're revolutionizing the dental industry with our innovative, deep work platform. Imagine a seamless connection between licensed dental professionals and dental offices, bridging the gap for temporary and full-time staffing needs through our cutting-edge on-demand web and mobile platform.
Responsibilities Include:
Leads a team of engineers in the development, testing, and deployment of software solutions.Conducts systems analysis and makes recommendations to improve the system to achieve an outcomeIdentifies opportunities for improving system reliability, security, and stability by working with product owners to prepare backlog items for the teamPromotes internal best practices and coding conventions to write and execute tests for your own code, including creating comprehensive unit testsContributes to technical documentation, process improvements and SOPsImplements best practices based on company-wide policies and standardsEnsures projects are delivered on time and meet quality standardsAssists in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes to build a strong engineering team.Continuously evaluates and improves internal engineering processes to enhance team efficiency and product qualityOccasional on-call rotation duty to respond to after-hours system incidentsRequests constructive feedback for designs early in the processPerforms peer code reviews to ensure the quality of the codebaseUpdates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations and networking opportunities

With multiple rounds of venture back funding, our platform and app are disrupting the dental staffing industry. Since launching in late 2019, we’ve built the largest community of nationwide hygienists and dental offices, dwarfing our established competition in the dental tech staffing space. It’s truly a matter of time until GoTu is the industry standard for dental staffing needs in the Dental Community!
We’re in the process of rapidly expanding the capabilities and functions of our app to capture even more market share, and we need high-quality, talented and driven individuals to come aboard and help make GoTu a Unicorn (Unicorn=Start-ups valued at $1 billion within five years of launch).
Qualifications
Key Competencies:
5-7+ years of industry experience in programming web applications, mobile, and/or large-scale enterprise products, ideally with some experience leading a team of junior developers both in office and in a distributed environmentA proven leader who has guided teams to build consumer-facing products from start to finishDemonstrated ability to translate business and member needs into a technical visionBuilt collaborative close relationships with product, design, customer success, and other business functions to solve customer needs creativelyFamiliar with Go programming languageFamiliar with Agile methodologyCommunicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, across technical and non-technical audiences to effectively collaborate and with all verticals of the organization
Additional considerations:
