Meteorologist

WJZ-TV is seeking a seasoned Meteorologist to join our award-winning weather team. Main shift will be on weekends.Responsibilities include:Analyze weather data and synthesize the information into clear, easy-to-understand weather forecasts.Produce clean, creative, and informational graphics that accurately support the weather story.Work as part of a team with other meteorologists and weathercasters.Present weathercasts from both studio and in the field with our Mobile Weather Lab.Communicate clearly and pass valuable information on to all shifts.Qualifications:Minimum of five years of experience on-air as a Broadcast Meteorologist.Proven ability to post forecasts, graphics, etc. to various digital media platforms.Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and fill-in when necessary.Experience with Barons Lynx and WSI Weather Technology.Education:Bachelor's degree in Meteorology or Atmospheric Science is required.
