Assumes responsibility for providing confidential assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic services, including individual and group counseling/psychotherapy and crisis intervention services. Develops individual client therapy plans. Participates in the supervision of interns/practicum students; designs and conducts developmental and outreach activities that will facilitate student growth. Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills.Minimum QualificationsMaster’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field.Experience as a counselor to adults and/or young adults.Licensure as a social worker, counselor, or marriage and family therapist in Ohio, OR licensed out of state with eligibility for licensure in Ohio.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with a college student population or working in a university/college counseling center. Experience and interest in working with diverse clients.Experience with short-term therapy and outreach or prevention work.Experience in crisis response or urgent appointments.Ability to collaborate collegially with a multidisciplinary staff, both within the Counseling Center and throughout the CSU community.Ability to effectively utilize an electronic medical records system.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Excellent clinical skills and a commitment to equity and inclusion.Effective written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and decision-making abilities.Ability to make effective presentations, have strong public speaking skills, develop, and drive change and effectively communicate change.Excellent interpersonal skills and have a “Customer Focus” attitude and delivery.Possess the ability to effectively plan and coordinate, establish and maintain effective working relationships and prioritize workloads based on available resources.Ability to build and maintain professional relationships and work as an individual contributor and an effective team player, in addition to being self-directed and forward-thinking.Ability to effectively engage with team members when issues arise to ensure appropriate communication and develop effective resolution plans.Possess a high degree of confidentiality to available information.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.Requisition Number:
