Location: Stockton, CaliforniaOffering a $5,000 signing bonus to the successful candidate.This position will lead safety and industrial hygiene efforts while supporting the implementation and oversight of safety programs and policies, as well as maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local health and safety regulations. Expertise in training, auditing, and hazard identification and control are required. The position reports to the Plant Manager and will be responsible for the safety effort at both our Stockton and Woodland sites, with functional reporting to the corporate Safety department.Key Accountabilities
Develops, implements, and continuously improves safety programsWorks collaboratively with leadership and employees to strengthen the company’s safety cultureLeads strategic safety initiativesConducts site assessments and recommends solutions to address gapsWorks with leaders to ensure compliance with regulations and alignment with company expectationsCreates and delivers safety-related reports and presentationsDevelops and presents training and educational programsPerforms all other related duties as assignedMinimum Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Occupational Safety or a closely related fieldOne year of practical experience in industrial safety, safety management systems, training, field/site safety auditing, project management, and hazard identification and controlOther Qualifications
PreferredTwo years of practical experience in industrial safety, safety management systems, training, field/site safety auditing, project management, and hazard identification and controlKnowledge of occupational safety regulationsKnowledge of electrical standardsKnowledge of safety management systemsIntermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteOther Requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to positively influence and motivateAbility to work professionally and collaboratively with all colleaguesStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a matrix organization where business leaders have equal organizational authorityPhysical Demands & Working Conditions
