Develops, implements, administers, and maintains policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database. Implements data models, database designs, data access and table maintenance codes. Resolves database performance and capacity issues, and replication and other distributed data issues.Responsibilities

Monitor systems and provide health status to team and managementEnsure databases are up/healthy and secure by monitoring systems and resolving issues as they arise, including performance tuningGather metrics and present reports or findings to managementProactively monitor data storage capacity and project growth requirementsSecurity:
Develops, implements, administers, and maintains policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of databases.Develop and implement backup, restore, and database recovery plansPerform End-of-Life Support prevention upgrades, and apply patches to address vulnerabilitiesCustomer Service:
Work with customers and application teams to design database objects that meet business requirements and production standards.Maintain positive relationship with customers and translate business requirements into technical solutionsWork with customers on Software Development Life Cycle through multiple development, test, production and other environmentsMonitor & resolve ticket queues to ensure high quality of customer service and meet SLA timelines.Daily Work:
Expected to learn and become proficient in new database technologies that we administer, including Cloud platform technologiesImplement data models, database designs, data access and table maintenance codes.Resolve database performance and capacity issues, and replication and other distributed data issues.Ensure the performance of the databases by managing configuration and DB objects to work with application code from development to production.Refresh production databases to Non-Prod environments as requestedWork on complex projects both on-premises and on the CloudInstall, upgrade, and test complex database softwareWork in multiple projects simultaneously which spans multiple applications releasesTroubleshoot issues as they arise in a timely mannerAll other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.Preferences
