We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Retail Shop Manager to lead our team and contribute to the success of our Waltham Cross store in Hertfordshire.About The Fertility FoundationThe Fertility Foundation is a registered charity in the UK (charity number: 117416) setup in 2017 whose aim is to help people struggling with infertility gain access to IVF treatment in the form of financial grants. These grants are wholly funded by public donations and the money raised through our charity shops.We currently have two charity shops in Hertfordshire; in 2020 we opened our first charity shop in Hoddesdon which has been a huge success and we have recently opened our second shop in Waltham Cross, which at over 3000 sq. ft sells clothing, bric-a-brac, and furniture. This shop also acts as our online fulfilment centre for eBay, Vinted, and Depop shops.We are an independent family-run charity, and, like most other charities, we rely on our team of dedicated volunteers to help us run our shops.What does this Involve?As the Home Store Manager, you will be accountable for your store’s performance by maximizing sales through physical in-store sales of clothes and accessories, bric, small electricals, and furniture by leading an inclusive and diverse team that consistently upholds excellent customer service and the charity's values.Location:

37.5, full-timeJob Requirements:Literate and numerateGood Customer Service SkillsUp-to-date IT SkillsAble to take responsibility and work on own initiative to changing business needs and objectivesAbility to undertake reasonable lifting dutiesSupervisory experienceManagerial experienceMinimum 2 years Experience in the Charity Shop sectorExperience of managing a Charity furniture shopExperience of recruiting and working with and managing volunteersUnderstanding budgets and P&LJob Purpose:To manage and promote the shop, ensuring its profitability, reputation, and contribution to raising the profile of The Fertility Foundation. Maintain effective stock management, achieve income budgets, and maximize sales. Line manage Assistant Shop Manager(s), delivery drivers, and a team of volunteers.Main Duties:Manage the day-to-day operation of the shop, including processing deliveries and donations, stock control, and liaising with the Director of Trading.Rotate stock regularly as per company policy.Maintain high standards of merchandising, display, and cleanliness throughout the shop.Ensure the shop is open during agreed times.Monitor and check the security of stock and cash, handling all financial procedures, including cash transfers, till balance, banking, and petty cash.Promote and support the Gift Aid Scheme.Manage expense budgets, working within agreed financial and sales targets.
