Johnson Lambert LLP is currently seeking a Business Development Director to join our growing firm. At Johnson Lambert we relentlessly strive to advocate for our clients and employees, and inspire an environment that embodies agility, respect, and trust.The Business Development Director will be responsible for driving revenue generation and identifying new business opportunities, especially focused on Johnson Lambert’s consulting services. This role will receive a base salary and be eligible for commissions based on sales performance.Job Responsibilities:Full-cycle business development, including generating leads through various activities (e.g., engagement of C-level targets and development of referral networks with a focus towards the firm suite of consulting services) as well as working collaboratively with the Johnson Lambert team to secure new clients and expand current relationships.Further firmwide business development culture by providing leadership and guidance to other team members related to business development efforts, including coaching on business development meetings and presentations (e.g., pitch meetings, etc.)Enhance business development processes by codifying and optimizing current processes and continually evolving processes and procedures to meet business needs and market conditions.Collaborate with marketing to design campaigns and collateral aligned with the firm's growth objectives, and to draft and deliver proposals. Furthermore, collaborate with marketing to ensure successful framing of Johnson Lambert’s value proposition in proposals and full-marketing funnel collateral.Log all sales activity in Salesforce and maintain complete and accurate pipeline and sales forecasts in Salesforce. Also, regularly meet with client-facing team members to understand their pipeline and where support is needed.Represent the firm at conferences and other industry events in support of sales campaigns and practice goals.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related fieldProven track record of at least 10 years in business development roles or experience in supporting business development functions as a business line leader.Extensive network and connections within the insurance industry.Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Proficiency in utilizing CRM (Salesforce preferred).Proven success in managing and maintaining strict confidentiality.Willingness to travel as required, sometimes outside of normal business hours.Equity note: Research suggests that women and Black, Indigenous, and other persons of color are less likely than men or White job seekers to apply for positions unless they are confident they meet 100% of the qualifications.
