Inpatient Operating Rooms
offers support and comes fully equipped to help you do what YOU do best, provide care for our patients!DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:This unit has a highly experienced team that supports 24 new state of the art inpatient/outpatient operating rooms and 8 heart and vascular and neurology interventional procedure rooms, performing surgical procedures to restore and enhance the lives of patients.This unit operates 24/7 with coverage and support expectations of weekends and off-shift rotations at least quarterly.Nurse Managers responsibilities are centralized within five major areas:
Clinical Practice and Quality Outcomes, Human Resource Leadership, Management of the Environment, Financial Growth and Stewardship, and Strategic Planning.POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:HIGH QUALITY PROGRAM:

Generous compensation package, CME Allowance and time, high quality, low cost medical/dental, robust paid time off.Job Responsibilities:Clinical Practice and Quality Outcomes: The Assistant Nurse Manager administers direct nursing care to patients and serves as a clinical resource and role model of clinical excellence for staff.Human Resource Leadership: Collaborates with the Nurse Manager to lead a positive work environment that facilitates the delivery of excellent patient and caregiver experiences.Management of the Patient Care Environment: Responsible for the effective management of patient progress and outcomes of care.Financial Growth and Stewardship: Accountable for managing within budget in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.Operational Planning: Sets a progressive pace for performance improvement and creates and implements plans that positively impact patient care.Staff education/training, and the establishment of a learning environment in partnership with a nurse Educator and Manager.Responsible for direct nurse supervision on weekends and off shifts, in partnership with the clinical supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS:Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience.Education: AND required; BSN preferred.We strive to be the place where we can help you build the career you deserve – apply today – YOU belong at Baystate!Equal Employment Opportunity Employer:
