The Core Platform Bring-up team within Apple's CoreOS organization is looking for an extraordinary software engineer to work on state-of-the-art technology, debug, and bring-up of next-generation Apple devices. This group is committed to building fully integrated operating systems that combine hardware, software, and services into a single Apple experience.
Description
In this role, you will have the chance to work on many core technologies for Apple products and make a major impact in how they are developed and shipped. Your dedication to cross-disciplinary collaboration will help develop groundbreaking technologies across Apple's product line. Responsibilities
A genuine passion for embedded development.Highly proficient in C/C++.Proven creative, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.Ability to deliver proven work on tight schedules.Excellent collaborative skills.Knowledge of hardware platforms & processor architectures.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with JTAG and other debuggers.Previous experience writing embedded device drivers.Previous experience with platform bring-up or porting of operating systems.Previous exposure to hardware and processor simulation.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,909 and $214,500 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.You'll also receive benefits including comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition, for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
