We are seeking people who are passionate about their work and possess the drive to excel to join us!Job SummaryThe main purpose of the Business Control Manager position is to contribute to our efforts to reach the overall operational and financial goals for the Sales area which encompasses our sales clusters in North and South America. The person in this role will support the execution of key activities and ensure the performance of the finance and business control departments in the sales area.This position reports to the General Manager of Sales Area Americas and will be located in the US, location is flexible.Job ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the Sales Area Management Team in your mission to support the company’s strategic agenda and ensure correct business decision based on transparent information and proactive control.Promote agility and confidently challenge and develop our ways of working within Sales Area and Finance functions, advise on key decisions with fact-based analyses and simulations.Actively drive strong performance management within sales area and finance function.Managing costs, investments, estimates, and future spending while making sure that overall internal control systems and compliance requirements are fulfilled within the sales area.Participates in the development of business strategies and plans, including performance management, modeling, analysis, and comments on financial implications.Responsible for the follow-up on business plan implementation actions and monitoring the financial results vs plans.Responsible for the forecasting and budgeting process.Complete variance analysis and drive actions to close gaps.Collaborate with HRBPs on incentive and bonus (SIP and STI) process.Responsible for monitoring cost control, advising on gaps for actions, as well as drive flexibility actions for cost base improvements.Manages direct reporting lines of finance department in US and dotted line in Sales area Controlling function.Interprets, implements, and develops financial operating policies within the Company in compliance with Sandvik, Inc. and Sandvik Coromant Financial and Control Policies.Provides information for audits of commercial processes to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.Responsible for Coromant legal and compliance questions, working in cooperation with Sandvik Inc.Strong knowledge and skills in finance, pricing, and profit management.Can explain financial actions and concepts to non-financial colleagues.Strong business sense and ability to take proactive action.High level presentation skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong capabilities in data processing, analysis and presentation of financial and operational results.Able to set priorities and manage time to meet tight deadlines.Able to pay great attention to details, and see the big picture at the same time and able to deliver “good enough” when needed.Demonstrated ability work as a team player who is willing to be flexible and can communicate on all levels in a matrix organization, comfortable to challenge executive/senior management with factual data/analysis.Job RequirementsDegree in Finance, Business Administration, and/or Statistics and experience in a business, commercial, or finance/business controlling position.Employee must read, write, and speak English fluently.Regular travel is required (~25% of the time).Employee must be legally eligible to work in the United States or able to apply for work permit or work visa.Where others see many, we see you – personally – and only if we truly understand you, can we add value to your development.
