This position directs the work of development teams to successfully compete for grant funds in support of plans for new and improved programs and services at NCTC. Guide and support grant managers/coordinators, and monitor the progress of grant-funded projects to ensure successful implementation in accordance with grant contract terms and agency regulations and compliance.Duties and Responsibilities:Collaborates with cross-functional teams including Deans to understand Division and Program needs to seek and pre-screen grant opportunities to secure external funding that furthers progress toward identified goals.Co-leads the grant proposal writing and editing process to ensure quality proposals that align with the funder’s compliance guidelines as identified in the grant announcement.Facilitates the development of strategic community, educational, workforce, and business partnerships to enhance the ability to reach program goals via externally funded resources/grants.Leads and contributes to weekly Grants Dept. and External Affairs Division staff activities that progress grant development, implementation, compliance, fiscal evaluation, inventory, and grant data tracking.Guides grant-funded projects including leading the grant kick-off orientation, co-developing Standard Operating Procedures, conducting grant staff training, and communicating with funding agency project officer as an official NCTC representative.Ensures grant compliance, regulations, and fiscal and program outcomes are in line with the information provided within the grant application, confirming compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Risk Management.Monitors and analyzes progress toward grant project goals, outcomes, deliverables, and other contract terms and conditions for compliance and satisfactory evaluations.Co-leads grant-related fiscal or program periodic reporting, desk reviews, monitor visits, audits, and grant formal closeout procedures.Contributes time, skills, and ideas to various NCTC committees, work groups, and community partnerships to advance opportunities within the college and the community.Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change based on the needs of the department and the institution.Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field; Masters degree preferred.Required Skills & Abilities:Understanding of technical aspects related to grant solicitation documents.Understanding of technical aspects related to grant award contract documents.Understanding of grant compliance guidelines for private, foundation, state, and federal grant awards.Ability to communicate effectively with various positions in higher education, the community, and funding agencies.Ability to conceptualize ideas and translate them into descriptive words and activities that can be implemented and measured.Ability to implement project management skills and develop teamwork to reach desired goals.Flexibility to adjust with changing timelines, priorities, budgetary needs, and reporting expectations.Ability to demonstrate effective listening and critical thinking skills while working with a team.Understanding of basic accounting and audit principles to meet compliance standards.Ability to contribute ideas for discussion among committees and External Affairs Division leadership.Required Experience:
Five (5) years in Grant writing and Development.Preferred Experience:
Two (2) years of Grant Compliance preferred; Two (2) years of Project/Program Management preferred.Posting Date:
