Position Summary:Walmart's Advertising Technology group enables the connection between supplier brands and retail shoppers at an unprecedented scale. Creative Platform team , building the tools and platforms that enable the ability to create and manage digital ads across all of Walmart intuitively and efficiently.

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer with a focus on the frontend to join our growing team.

You should be comfortable collaborating with product managers and other software engineers to translate customer requirements into technical requirements and turning ideas into scalable technical solutions. The ideal candidate has both deep technical expertise and pragmatism with a bias towards shipping.What you'll do:You're a technologist who solves problems in creative ways.You have an eye for detail and can articulate the specifics of quality design.You are curious and unintimidated working on projects spanning across the full stack.You have previous experience in AdTech and understand how to build products that fit.You have strong communication and interpersonal skills.You can focus strongly on end-user impact when you build software.What you'll bring:Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area, or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.7+ years' experience in software development with a bias towards frontend technologies.Extensive experience with frontend frameworks/languages such as React, Redux, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Some Angular experience is also a plus.Experience writing lean HTML/CSS/JS and manipulating the DOM without the aid of other frameworks or libraries.Experience tech leading projects and mentoring more junior engineers.Experience writing technical design documents to communicate implementation plans.You have developed scalable and performant frontend components and have a keen eye towards usability and making complex features easy to use.Minimum Qualifications:Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position:Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area.Option 2: 6 years' experience in software engineering or related area.Preferred Qualifications:Outlined below are the optional preferred qualifications for this position:Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.Knowledge in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.Primary Location:640 W California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086-4828, United States of America
