Position Summary:

We are seeking a

highly skilled and experienced Staff Software Engineer

to join our Personalization Team in Sunnyvale. In this role, you will be

responsible

for

developing and implementing machine learning algorithms and models

to enhance our personalized recommendation systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop innovative solutions using machine learning techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, data analysis, and programming, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

About Team:Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.

What you'll do:Collaborate with the Personalization Team in Sunnyvale to understand business requirements and develop machine learning solutions for personalized recommendation systems.Design and implement advanced machine learning and computer science algorithms in the Personalization e-commerce platform.Continuously monitor and evaluate feature and model performance, making necessary improvements and enhancements.Collaborate with engineers to integrate machine learning models and algorithms into existing systems and platforms.Conduct experiments and A/B testing to measure the impact of new models and algorithms.Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning techniques and technologies, and proactively apply them to improve our recommendation systems.Mentor and provide guidance to junior machine learning engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and technical growth within the team.Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure the availability and quality of data required for model training and evaluation.Experience with developing and writing unit-test and regression test cases for new software features and enhancements.Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in machine learning and artificial intelligence.

What you'll bring:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field with 5+ years experience as a Software Engineer , or similar role.Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, algorithms, and frameworks.Proficient in

Java, Python programming language and relevant libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn , etc.Experience with

NoSQL systems like Cassandra, Couchbase .Experience with

Springboot or similar RestAPI interfaces.Experience with

big data processing technologies like Apache Spark.Experience in

developing and deploying machine learning models

in a production environment.Familiarity with

cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Experience in

personalization and recommendation systems.Experience with

natural language processing (NLP) and text mining.Knowledge of

deep learning techniques and frameworks.Experience with

distributed computing and parallel processing.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.Publications or contributions to the machine learning community.

Minimum Qualifications:Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position:Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area.6 years' experience in software engineering or related area.

Preferred Qualifications:Outlined below are the optional preferred qualifications for this position:Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
