What You’ll Do:
As the Security Architect, you’ll be primarily responsible for leading the implementation of security programs designed to anticipate, assess, and minimize system vulnerabilities. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Coordinating the implementation of security programs across platforms and establishing vulnerability reporting criteria. Reviewing existing and proposed new systems, networks, and software designs for potential security risks, recommending mitigation or countermeasures, and resolving integration issues related to the implementation of new systems within the existing infrastructure. Assessing new systems design methodologies to improve software quality, accurately representing customer requirements, effectively measuring software development risk, presenting recommendations for adoption of new methodologies to senior management officials, and leading implementation. Developing long-range plans for IT security systems that anticipate, identify, evaluate, mitigate, and minimize risks associated with IT systems vulnerabilities. Providing authoritative advice to other specialists in disaster recovery, business continuity, and operating systems security, and developing and implementing Enterprise-wide guidelines. Developing contingency plans (Disaster Recovery or Business Continuation Plans for information technology systems) to ensure availability and accessibility of network resources in the event of emergencies. Work includes the development of new theories, concepts, principles, standards, and methods, as well as appropriate application of commercial best practices in security management. What You’ll Need:
A Master's degree with 10+ years or a Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of experience in computer science, IT, or a related field. 7+ years of overall experience in security architecture, application security, cloud security, network security, and/or systems security. 5+ years of experience in a Security Architecture role. IT security or risk assessment certifications such as CISSP, CISM etc., are advantageous. Familiarity with federal security frameworks such as NIST, FISMA, and other relevant standards.
