About The Job

The Director of Public Sector Sales at LaunchDarkly is accountable for spearheading the sales strategy for federal, state and local government organizations in North America, ensuring the attainment of revenue targets and profitability. Collaborating closely with the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), you will contribute to refining our federal targets and extending the impact of our existing State and Local initiatives.

In your role as a senior leader, you will play a crucial role in mentoring and coaching the expanding Public Sector team, guiding them through onboarding, enablement, and integration into the sales matrix. Your leadership will focus on cultivating Public Sector revenue, aligning with our FedRAMP expansion and certification goals.Responsibilities

Own the relationship with major accounts in your vertical space, Government/Public Sector.Manage and develop a team of Public Sector AEs.Educate, evangelize, and guide prospects through successful adoption of LaunchDarkly.Elevate LaunchDarkly's visibility at large Enterprises and communicate our value proposition with VP and C-Suite executives.Consistently hit revenue targets.Methodically develop new opportunities.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our product and processes.Engage in team development and mentoring.Conduct speaking engagements and contribute to marketing efforts to enhance LaunchDarkly's presence.Qualifications:

2+ years in management, leading at least 4 direct reports.5+ years of successful sales in the Public Sector.Experience interacting and maintaining relationships with Carahsoft.Proven track record of meeting or surpassing sales quotas.Expertise in managing consultative sales cycles with Fortune 500 executives.Recent experience in an emerging tech company.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including public speaking.Highly organized, self-directed, comfortable and energized in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge or experience in the developer tool space.Familiarity with MEDDPIC sales methodology.Familiarity with a Land & Expand SaaS Sales strategy expanding into different business units within large enterprises.Potential for up to 50% travel in the role.Pay

Target pay range for a Level M4 in the DMV region: $357,000 - $420,000.

*On Target Earnings (OTE) includes base pay and commission*
