Staff Accountant (2+ years of experience)Location(s) : Valhalla, NY, US, 10595Salary : $75-80K + 20% BonusFunctional area: Finance / ControllingThe Staff Accountant is responsible for certain general accounting and financial reporting functions.
Responsibilities:Prepare monthly closing journal entriesPrepare and maintain reconciliations for balance sheet accountsCoordinate audit support and external auditors' inquiries related to financial statements audits and group reporting package reviewAssess internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areasAssist with the migration to SAPSupport local and group accounting with ad-hoc internal and external requests related to financial information, business/merger, and acquisitions support
Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA is preferred but not requiredMinimum 2 years of relevant financial and business experience is requiredMust have good analytical skillsStrong knowledge of GAAP/IFRSMust be able to communicate effectively in written and oral formExperience with Peoplesoft and SAP is preferredAble to interact effectively across organizational boundaries to achieve goals and meet deadlinesHigh energy level and ability to handle multiple projects and prioritiesMS Office computer skills are required
Pay range:
The annual base salary range for this position in New York is $75-80K. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations.
