Position Summary:
As our clients' personal CFOs, we are considered trusted advisors for all financial aspects of their personal and professional lives. Our platinum-level client service model has allowed us to harvest deep rooted relationships with our clients and their other trusted advisors.
As a Staff Accountant I, you will focus on daily data entry and processing to support internal client teams. If you have a passion for client service and want to hone your accounting skills at the highest stage, you will love working at Apercen.
Essential Functions:Review invoices to ensure required details are includedAccurately enter invoices for payment, including vendor details and general ledger coding, into Oracle accounting systemProcess approved payments and transfers in Oracle accounting systemPrepare monthly brokerage account journal entriesPrepare monthly credit card journal entriesPrepare payroll journal entriesPrepare other journal entries as required to record various transactionsPrepare monthly bank and/or balance sheet reconciliations for assigned client entitiesAssist with month end processPrepare monthly vendor summaries as neededAssist in preparing financial reports and statements, including monthly balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statementsAssist in preparing quarterly client expense reportingAssist in annual 1099 reporting processUpdate, verify, and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other financial records for assigned client entitiesWork with client team Senior Accountant to develop and implement policies and proceduresParticipate in client team and greater FOS group trainingsQualifications:
Bachelor's DegreeAbility to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external teams both verbally and via emailPossession of the utmost integrity and ability to uphold client confidentialityAbility to adapt quickly to change and manage stressAbility to work well in a team environmentMust be detail-orientedAbility to understand and carry out directions in an independent mannerAbility to process rush items or otherwise meet daily deadlinesAbility to act as the first line of internal control for cash disbursements by ensuring invoices are approved by proper client personnelPossession of good decision-making skills and self-awarenessDesired Qualifications:
Minimum of 0-1 years of applicable experience
Apercen is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role for those assigned and/or hired to work in for New York City Metro Area, Colorado, Washington State, and California. The salary range for all localities is $26.44- $31.25/hour. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, certifications, skills and geography.
