We take an integrated approach that connects your consumer’s online and offline experiences through data, media and the memorable moments that drive brand transactions.Role OverviewThe Account Director will be responsible for leading the development of small to large size integrated campaigns for our client and working closely with the cross-functional teams that bring it all to life. The Account Director is the general manager of their portfolio, growing their business and ensuring that programs are delivered on time, within budget and achieve the strategic brand/client objectives. You will coordinate and implement marketing plans and oversee the cross-functional agency team tasked with developing individual programs.You oversee the processes of running programs and nurture relationships with the company's clients. You typically plan and coordinate projects, brief creative teams, and manage budgets.Core ResponsibilitiesClient RelationsDevelop, nurture & propel client relationshipsDevelop comprehensive understanding of the client’s business strategy, objectives & brandsSupport the client with strategic direction of the brand/company as requiredAbility to lead development of client programs, including project & IMC managementUnderstand where there may be organic opportunities for business development & growth within client’s business; work to create and implement a plan to sell incremental programs and servicesTeamBrief in and set objectives for specialty teams within Salt i.e. Creative, Design, Media, StudioCreate collaborative working relationships and maintain effective + efficient ways of working within specialty and IMC teamsWork with Salt senior leadership team to assess and determine requirements for new hires as neededWork with Salt admin & HR to hire team members as required – onboarding, training & development of a strong account management team, capable of both project management and project productionTrain & develop direct reports and their teams to provide best in class account & production managementConduct performance evaluations, provide feedback and support with setting and driving your teams personal and professional goalsFinancialResponsibility for the portfolio P&L, working closely with your team and finance to maintain a profitable businessAbility to build small and large program budgets, that drive business profitabilityTrain account team to build small and large budgets, that drive business profitabilityAbility to reconcile budgets of all sizes, working both independently, with your team and with financeUltimately responsible for all programs within the portfolio being delivered on time and on budgetSolid understanding of how the business makes money, where there are gaps that needs to be filled, creating and implementing a plan to support with filling revenue and profit gapsBusiness OperationsIdentifying new areas for business growth and developmentMonitor the success of programs, providing options to optimize and pivot when required; and areas to excel and improve post-programManage all external stakeholders pertinent to the portfolio, including but not limited to: suppliers, partners, clients, agencies, contractorsIn, or leading, new or ongoing business initiatives for Salt XC – supporting with growth & development of the overall businessExperience & SkillsAt least 10 years of experience working Accounts, Client Service, Project Management or a related roleExceptional leadership and people management skillsProven project management & production experienceUnderstanding of agency budgeting and reporting requirementsProven strategic thinkerNatural people person with exceptional interpersonal skillsConfident and experienced with presentation skillsExcellent organizational, negotiation and leadership skillsOutstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to oversee, and deliver against, a large P&LProven ability to identify, pursue and sell business growth opportunitiesSALT XC OFFERSCompetitive company compensation and benefits packageDynamic work environment and support of a growing creative agency with a start-up cultureFlat corporate structure.
