SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION: ANSER is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for support to the Engineering & Systems Integration for Joint Satellite Communications for the United States Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM). DEVCOM’s mission is to leverage cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum effects, autonomy, robotics, advanced energetics, and synthetic biology to give Soldiers the ability to see, sense, decide and act faster than their adversaries. The Senior Software Engineer will support a Division responsible for a wide range of Satellite communications (SATCOM) programs in support of new and fielded Army telecommunications systems. This position researches new capabilities in SATCOM and wireless technologies for the battlefield, as well as the application of military and Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) capabilities. These programs support the active Army, primarily Program Executive Office (PEO) Command Control Communication Tactical (C3T), PEO Intelligence Electronic Warfare and Sensors (IEW&S). The Senior Software Engineer will: Work on-site in a government secure facility during normal business hours 5 days a week. Provide guidance and direction to the subject working group leads to ensure synchronization and technical focus. Review Government performance work statements and contractor proposals for technical accuracy and to ensure requirements are met. Provide expert experience in design, architecture, development, implementation, and documentation accomplishment for systems engineering, integration, and readiness processes and procedures for SATCOM systems. Participate in the coordination of the systems engineering integrated product team and other technical forums at the PEO, PM and product office levels. Analyze industry trends and emerging technology applications to the program baseline. Interface regularly with industry partners to ensure the prime contractor is providing the most advanced technology to the Warfighter. Coordinate with other programs, internal and external, to ensure interoperability with the product baselines. Serve as subject matter expert for all computer and software related aspects of assigned program. Design and implement software solutions for back-end and front-end development for interactive web/mobile applications. Perform engineering and scientific work involving the design, development, and operation of man portable computer systems, including hardware and software and their integration with other systems and peripherals. Support technical tasks in the integration of client products, engineering and technical documentation, and assistance in the development of technical requirements, specifications, plans and reports, software and hardware engineering, preparation of independent assessments, systems engineering, technical expertise at fielding locations, test and evaluation, architectural and interoperability support, and quality engineering. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field. Excellent leadership, written and verbal communications skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with C, C#, C++, SQL, or Java. Experience with Jira, Confluence, and GIT. Experience with Agile and DevSecOps development processes. Effective interpersonal skills, ability to communicate technical matters in a clear and logical manner and to a diverse audience. Working knowledge of IP networking. Knowledge of system engineering processes, procedures, and best practices. Knowledge of digital engineering models, including DoDAF and UAF. Ability to generate overarching execution plans, such as Integrated Support Plan (ISP) and Support Engineering Plan (SEP). Ability to reprioritize tasking on short notice and identify & communicate the impact of change. Strong Microsoft Products Skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Army C5ISR Program Experience. Military or government intelligence experience especially in or with the United States Army. 4 years of experience in DoD systems development. Active DoD Top-Secret Security Clearance or higher.
