CACI is seeking a Senior Business Process Improvement Consultant to work on a large Navy program in Norfolk, VA.
About the Role:
The position consists of consulting government process improvement project leads on the specifics of the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC) steps in executing large-scale improvement projects across the command. This position will require interface with senior government customers to include the Commanding Officer (Flag Level) and Senior Executive Service (SES) clients.
What You'll Get to Do:
The Sr. Business Process Improvement Consultant will evaluate and provide performance optimization solutions for current HR and Business Operations programs within the U.S. Navy / Military Sealift Command.
Primary function will be to support and lead process and performance improvement efforts in the areas of strategic planning, corporate operations, human resource, training, administration, and business process – baselining functional processes and re-engineering to incorporate/integrate existing enabling IT technology.
Lead the capture, documentation, redesign, and solutions implementation of corporate operations processes, including continuous process improvement of operations via operations research, process optimization, process improvement, Six Sigma, Lean (or Lean Six Sigma), or other types of technical efforts.
Identify, define, and document business requirements to recommend solutions that enable the program to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Identify, develop, monitor, and assess operational and performance measurements/metrics from initial baselining assessment through fully operational implementation of business process and IT improvements.
Lead the identification and development of process automation solutions across multiple complex business processes, requiring design or integration of technical solutions that may cross multiple functions of the business.
Interact directly with high-level customers on a regular basis, and plan and facilitate meetings to achieve desired customer objectives.
Provide group facilitation, interviewing, training, communications, and additional forms of knowledge transfer.
Provide strategic advice, technical guidance and training to customer and less experienced project staff.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Active DOD Secret security clearance
DMAIC subject matter expertise
Strong presentation skills
U.S. Navy / Military Sealift Command knowledge
Clear understanding of process improvement techniques and methodology
Bachelor’s degree and seven years relevant experience; master’s degree is preferred.
A minimum of five years of experience in Continuous Process Improvement
Experience leading and managing teams.
Proven ability to create workflows and develop graphic representations of complex business processes.
Experience conducting facilitated workshops with strong elicitation and facilitation skills.
Must possess excellent analytical skills with a focus on attention to detail.
Exceptional organization, prioritization, teamwork, and communication skills (both written and oral)
Five years of experience in business process reengineering, organizational change management, Lean Six Sigma, strategic planning, organizational design, integrated master scheduling, performance management, or overhead optimization.
Six Sigma Black Belt Certification, ITILv3, IT Design/Development Experience, Agile Experience/Certification, Naval or Shipyard Experience - desired
Proficiency in SharePoint desired
Desired Qualifications:
Data analytic skills a plus
Lean Six Sigma certification.
Significant U.S. Navy experience a benefit
PMP and/or substantial project management experience

Pay Range:
The proposed salary range for this position is: $74,600-$156,700. Factors that can influence final salary include geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
