The Director of Talent Development will focus on developing, implementing, and leading the Talent Development strategies for Sloan, including succession planning, organizational design, performance management, learning & development, and talent assessment. Reporting to the CHRO, this very influential and highly visible role will combine a strategic and hands-on approach in overall rewards and organizational design initiatives that align with the company’s growth plans to attract, optimize and retain top talent as an employer of choice. The Director of Talent Development places a high emphasis on supporting and driving achievement of Sloan’s strategic goals by leveraging talent expertise, initiatives, tools, and techniques. The role will manage the strategy and execution of competency frameworks and people development, preparing the organization for the future of work and ensuring proper integration into talent management processes.Job and Responsibilities

Consult with business leaders and HR partners to identify training needs and training gaps in the organization and develop talent strategies for specific teams/orgs/functions.Design, develop, and implement/facilitate comprehensive training solutions to improve both organization and individual team member performance.Facilitate learning experiences in multiple delivery modalities including, but not limited to, eLearning (LMS mySloan), instructor-led training in both in person and virtual environments, podcast, and micro-learning.Assess learning program participants for knowledge and behaviors learned; develop metrics to assess the effectiveness and ROI of learning programs.Formulate training outlines and determine instructional methods utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.Develop and execute short- and long-term strategy, inclusive of measurement strategy.Design and drive a culture of high performance by providing a continuous improvement - learning environment framework through leading efforts that include assessing & addressing capability gaps, program design and delivery via internal and external partnerships of management & leadership development solutions, 360 leadership coaching & development assessments, integration of leadership talent reviews with business reviews, and implementing the company’s approach to workforce planning and talent metrics.Ensure that the design and execution of all talent development programs reinforces the Sloan culture and meets the core needs of the business.Act as the champion of learning and leadership development across the business and the top subject matter expert in this space for Sloan.Responsible for leading the execution of talent development strategies and initiatives, including design, development, and deployment efforts, while also evaluating the effectiveness of learning solutions.Continuously innovate and improve talent and learning and development programs.Ensure mechanisms are in place to build accountability, measure results, continually improve and optimize the impact of talent development programs.Ensure broad-based learning & development resources are available for all employees.Direct the needs assessment for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company.Consult with management on performance, organizational and leadership matters. Conduct needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance.Other duties and responsibilities as required.Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Equivalent with a preference for an advanced degree in a related field (e.g., M.A./M.S. in Leadership, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, I-O Psychology, Human Resource Management, or similar).Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.Advanced knowledge of talent development strategy and methodology.Data analysis, reporting, and summarizing data.Excellent planning and organizational skills.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Expert communicator and expert in adult learning facilitation.Expert in adult learning technology, theory and practice.Expertise with 360 feedback programs, HIPO development, succession planning, and talent review process.Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.Proven ability to influence and implement transformational change at all levels of the organization.Strong track record of successfully designing and implementing innovative strategic talent development programs and processes throughout a large organization.Working knowledge of OD disciplines/intervention types including, but not limited to; organization design, restructuring, work re/design, process improvement, change management, and M&A.Preferred Qualifications
